Startling Statistics on Cancer
After 25 years of Terry Fox (From Canada) fundraising for the “Cure” , and $400 million dollars later, our cancer statistics are worse than ever. Is it money or politics that is blocking the cure? The cancer industry is thriving and more and more runs and lotteries are taking place. Here are some of the facts:
- US stats – Cancer is now the second leading cause of death following heart disease.
- American Red Cross analysed umbilical cord blood from unborn babies and found 278 chemicals including mercury, gasoline by-products, fire retardants, pesticides, DDT, and many other cancer causing agents especially those found in household cleaners. This may explain the increase in cancer among infants and children.
- Scientists estimate that everyone alive today carries within his / her body at least 700 contaminants.
- 50% of all illness occurs from indoor pollution. Women working at home have a 56% higher risk of getting breast cancer.
- Canadian stats – Canadian Cancer Society states that in 2005, 38% of women and 44% of men will be diagnosed with cancer. That’s a 1:2 ratio!! In 1980, when Terry Fox was diagnosed, it was 1:5
- In Ontario, lung and colorectal cancers are the most common types of cancer.
- Since the early 1980’s, our government has allowed Proctor and Gamble to add cancer causing chemicals to their line of household and personal care products, yet disallows many safe herbal supplements to be used in Canada.
CANCER CAN BE BEATEN!!
We need to build the immune system, reduce stress, separate ourselves as much as possible from toxins and chemical intake.
